Favorite thing about Royal International Miss: Where do I begin? I love that RIM is all about sisterhood and lifting each other up. The main thing that got me through the stressful week at internationals were my fellow delegates, the Delta Sigma Kappa sorority ladies, and the reigning queens. They cheered me on backstage and laughed with me in the lobby. We all became best friends. Nobody was mean or rude, they were all kind-hearted young ladies. But, I also love that RIM doesn’t search for the prettiest girl, they search for the nicest girl. This has been very important to me because it has given me the courage to just be Kate. I don’t have to act a certain way or be a certain person, I can show who I really am. Growing up in this world as a Pre-teen, I think that just being yourself should be normalized, and RIM has helped me normalize that in my life.

Police departments take these Bears to children on domestic disturbance calls. She also provides the Bears for children who need them when dealing with things like child abuse, mental health, natural disasters, as well as domestic abuse. To date, she has donated over 4,500 stuffed animals to children in need. She began her platform with her very own bear, Maddie, who was given to her by her uncle who is a police officer.
Favorite thing about Royal International Miss: The sisterhood you get and become a part of. Aaliyah has competed at rim for The last 5 years, and she’s maintained friendships with people that she met her very first year competing as a preteen. She can now say that she has sisters all over the globe!
